Employment Expo 2008

From 10:00 a. m. to 6:00 p. m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, the state-of-the-art Eclipse Center in Beloit will be transformed into a showcase of employers and employment opportunities from southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.  Over 2,500 job seekers walked through the doors of the Rock County Job Center to meet 61 employers registered for Employment Expo 2007.  We are convinced there is an unmet need in our region to connect employers and job seekers.  To this end, we are taking Employment Expo 2008 on the road to Beloit.  The event promises to be a one-of-a-kind experience for employers – and job seekers.

As we contemplate the shrinking workforce and the soon-to-retire “boomer” generation, consider exhibiting your company – and its recruitment needs – to countless candidates.  Employment Expo 2008 will give southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois employers a quality opportunity to (1) recruit job candidates; (2) showcase their company; and (3) enlighten Expo visitors about what their business does.

Forward Janesville – along with the Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce, Blackhawk Human Resource Association, Blackhawk Technical College, University of Wisconsin-Rock County, Janesville Gazette, and Beloit Daily News – are partnering with the Rock County Job Center to host this unique event.
