"You Asked For It" Seminar Series

We are halfway through our “You Asked For It!" series of four seminars.

Forward Janesville is bringing you your top choices from the membership survey of April 2006.  Members have attended two seminars and saved money while receiving great information at a convenient, local location.

The next seminar is titled “Unlocking The Secrets To Branding Your Business,” and it will be held Friday, February 9 from 7:30 - 11:00 a.m. at Commercial Bank on Black Bridge Road.  Seminar leader Pete Thompson of Thompson Partners will show attendees how to approach branding their business.  This event is sponsored by Performance Micro Tool.

The final seminar is "Making Smart Buys in Local Media/Advertising," held Tuesday, April 24 from 8 -10 a.m.  You'll hear from a panel of local business people just like you who have navigated the options and can give you some advice based on experience.

*ATTENTION NON-MEMBERS who may be interested in attending these seminars!  We are offering a Fast Track savings to membership -  Non-members who attend a Forward Janesville seminar and subsequently join FJI that same month can waive the $25 application fee.

Dale Carnegie Training

“Most of my staff, including myself, have participated in Dale Carnegie Training®. The biggest difference I have seen in my team is in their ability to take ownership of their team positions. They bring a renewed sense of excitement for their jobs and that level of high energy is communicated to our franchisees. Commitment and teamwork are integral to the Culver’s training program. Dale Carnegie® polishes these skills and really gives a boost to those who participate. I heartily recommend Carnegie Training®.”  - Craig Culver, President, Culver Franchising System, Inc.

If you are interested in improved communication skills, better teamwork, identifying and then solving problems, and the ability to be diplomatic under pressure for either yourself or your people- then call now to find out how the Dale Carnegie Course - Effective Communication and Human Relations could help you.

Forward Janesville continues to sponsor the Dale Carnegie Course, which is scheduled to start on Thursday, February 8, 2007 in this area. For more information, please see our website, contact Forward Janesville at 608.757.3160 or by email at Forward@ForwardJanesville.com

Supervisory Skills Series

“It was really worth it! I learned quite a bit! They told me not only what supervisors need to know in business but also about how different personalities approach situations differently.” - Steve from Jacob Homes Corp.

“Well worth every penny! This is a good course for anyone at any level. They make the information understandable and workable! Plus, the instructor was great! He really made the information interesting and kept things moving.” – Barb from Sanford Business to Business

Growing a vibrant organization isn't an easy task. Frankly, it's quite daunting. Building a strong, efficient business isn't accomplished by the work of just one person; in fact, it takes the entire team. That's why it's so important to have strong leaders in management positions as well as having leaders in all positions within the company. Perhaps you have committed and productive people who would make great leaders, but may not have the skills. The Supervisory Leadership Series' training program is designed to be a classroom / workplace training program. Participants of the program are in training two days per month and bring the skills they learn to the workplace. Bosses, or coaches as we call them, are involved in the training so that progress can be tracked and discussed. The training not only improves productivity and efficiency, but also helps retain employees.
