BELOIT INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL SCHEDULES
FIRST JANESVILLE REVEAL PARTY
“With a number of recent developments, and the announcement of the addition of several important films and filmmakers to the schedule of this year’s Beloit International Film Festival, we are racing to keep up with the changes,” explains BIFF executive director Rod Beaudoin of the festival scheduled for January 17-20.
“In the past week, we have heard from numerous leading figures in the film industry that confirmation from legendary film producer, David Zucker, producer of such hits as
Airplane and the Naked Gun series as well as this year’s big holiday release Sweeney
Todd, will be here for our launch party. As a result, we are juggling our schedule and changing some of our presentation times.”
Because of the great excitement about this year’s program, the Beloit International Film Festival will present a special reveal party, unveiling the full schedule for BIFF, in Janesville on Wednesday, Jan. 9 from 5pm – 7pm.
The first BIFF event ever to be held in Janesville will be hosted by BIFF sponsor Kutter Harley-Davidson at the Kutter dealership at 3223 North Pontiac Drive. Media sponsors WCLO/WJVL and the Janesville Gazette along with Terry Print Solutions will be on hand to host the event.
BIFF sponsors and film selection committee members will join with Beaudoin and other founders of the film festival to talk about this year’s program. “We know this cuts time short for people to make their plans, but we can assure film lovers right now that this is going to be one of the film festivals of the year, anywhere”. Along with Zucker, confirmation has been received that Mexican director Alejandro Monteverdi, director of Bella, the Toronto Film Festival award winning film that he will also be here and will participate in awards night ceremonies. “This is just the start of the list,” says Beaudoin. “We will have more significant announcements even before our reveal party”.
The reveal party is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
