FJI Focus Group Presents Recommendations To City Planners
As city leaders consider updates to Janesville's Comprehensive Plan, Forward Janesville assembled a diverse, dedicated focus group to identify issues facing Janesville’s business community and to formulate possible solutions.  The group presented their recommendations to the Plan Commission in an April 20 letter.   READ THE GROUP'S RECOMMENDATIONS

Employment Expo May 8 at Rock County Job Center 
Forward Janesville is excited to announce our partnership with the Rock County Job Center to present Employment Expo 2007. On Tuesday, May 8, the Employment Expo 2007 will feature 60 area businesses exhibiting in a vast array of occupational categories. From 10 am to 6 pm, attendees will "Get Connected" with employment opportunities in Rock County and surrounding areas.
This event is a partnership between The Rock County Job Center, Forward Janesville, Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce, Blackhawk Human Resource Association (BHRA), Beloit Daily News, Janesville Gazette, University of Wisconsin-Rock County, and Blackhawk Technical College.

FJI Testifies On State Budget
Forward Janesville weighed in on Governor Jim Doyle's proposed state budget during a public hearing hosted by Senate Majority Leader Judy Robson, Representative Mike Sheridan, Representative Kim Hixson and Representative Chuck Benedict on April 12.  FJI’s testimony focused on two main areas: taxes and transportation funding.  READ THE TESTIMONY
