Janesville’s 2007 Business and Marketing Expo will be Thursday,
October 11. An 11:30 am luncheon will kick off the annual event
at the Pontiac Convention Center. The trade show will then continue at
1:30 pm at the Holiday Inn Express and will feature more than 80 local
businesses as exhibitors. The Expo culminates in the year's largest

Urges State to Spend Less, Tax Less The
Wisconsin State Legislature’s Joint Finance
Committee, a bicameral committee split evenly between Republicans and
Democrats, finished its work on the 2007-2009 state budget on Friday,
June 8. The budget drafted
by this committee contains many controversial provisions, including
Governor Doyle’s proposals to impose new taxes on hospitals, oil
companies, and nearly everyone in-between.

Golf Outing Sold Out
Forward Janesville is excited to announce that the 7th
Annual Golf Outing sponsored by MercyCare Health Plans has sold out!
Dinner
reservations are still available for non-golfers. The dinner reception

Talks Issues at First Facing Forward Event
Forward
Janesville is pleased to announce that the inaugural Facing Forward,
which was held on June 7 at the Pontiac Convention Center, was a big
hit! Almost 60 people
attended this event, which was designed to bring FJI members face to
face with state decision makers and opinion leaders.
Our featured speaker was Senate Majority Leader Judy Robson of
Beloit, who discussed a number of issues important to the Janesville
