Campaign 101 gives civic-minded business people a firsthand look at the nuts and bolts of running a campaign. From filing nomination papers to developing campaign materials, Campaign 101 examines every aspect of the political process.
The first segment of Campaign 101 focuses on government structure, the responsibilities of elected officials, and the personal and professional challenges faced by public officeholders. The second segment delves into the technical details of running a successful campaign, including the filing and nomination process, required forms and records, and campaign finance. The final segment helps participants develop a winning campaign strategy by focusing on topics like media relations, connecting with voters, and designing effective campaign materials.
Campaign 101 is conducted by recognized local and state leaders with decades of diverse political experience. This free class is open to Forward Janesville, Greater Beloit Chamber and Milton Area Chamber members interested in learning more about the political process, especially those who are considering seeking local office.
