The August 18 edition of The Janesville Gazette featured our most recent Forward Thinking column. These monthly columns help the community learn more about Forward Janesville initiatives and about our member businesses.

This month, we shared more about updates being made to Janesville's 40-year-old zoning code.

The Plan Commission and city staff have been hard at work in collaboration with GRAEF to updated the code, and the community received a preview of how updating zoning districts, allowign more permitted uses within those districts and facilitating more by-right development can unlock affordable housing potential and make Janesville more competitive with peer communities in development overall.
