The Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) is now accepting nominations for its 37th Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Awards — and we at Forward Janesville would love to see one of our local companies earn statewide recognition.
These awards honor in-state manufacturers (of all sizes) that demonstrate excellence in areas such as:
- Financial growth and sound business performance
- Innovation, technology and product development
- Operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Environmental best practices and sustainability
- Commitment to employees and workforce development
- Reinvestment in the local community
Why nominate — and who should nominate?
Nominating is a great way to spotlight the outstanding work of local manufacturers, bring positive attention to your business or your clients, and help our region gain recognition for its industrial strength. Whether you’re ...
- an employer considering nominating your own company,
- a supplier or partner wanting to nominate a client,
- a civic group or citizen wanting to recognize a business that’s truly made a difference in our area
... your nomination could help a local manufacturer stand out at the state level.
Tips for a strong nomination
- Focus on measurable results (growth, productivity, cost savings, sustainability metrics)
- Highlight innovations and improvements (new processes, product lines, R&D)
- Share how the company invests in employees and community (training, benefits, outreach)
- Show long-term vision (future plans, growth strategies)
Important: How & when to apply
You can nominate a company (or enter your own) via the official WMC/MOTY website under the “Enter or Nominate” section. The nomination deadline is Friday, Oct. 31.
