Member Connect Submission Guidelines
Member Connect
Member Connect is delivered on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month and is your opportunity to share your events, news and fundraisers with fellow Forward Janesville members.
Our goal is to help members discover what's happening across our membership while celebrating the successes of local businesses and organizations.
Submission Deadline
Please submit your content to [email protected] by the Friday before publication (the first or third Friday of each month).
Submission Frequency
To ensure a variety of member content in each edition, members may submit one item per month for inclusion in Member Connect.
What Should I Submit?
Member Connect is intended to highlight the moments that make your business or organization stand out. Great submissions include:
- Major upcoming events
- Fundraisers benefiting your organization or the community
- Grand openings and ribbon cuttings
- Awards, recognitions and significant milestones
- Major business announcements
- Educational workshops or community programs
- Special promotions or collaborative events with other Forward Janesville members
What Shouldn't I Submit?
To keep Member Connect valuable and engaging for all members, we generally do not publish:
- Weekly or monthly sales and specials
- Job openings or career opportunities
- Real estate open houses
- Sponsorship requests
- Equipment or other items for sale
- Classified-style advertising or routine promotional content
As a general rule, if your submission reads more like an advertisement than a noteworthy announcement, it probably isn't the best fit for Member Connect.
What Should My Submission Include?
To help us publish your content accurately and efficiently, please include:
- A digital graphic (JPG or PNG preferred)
- A link where readers can learn more or register
- Event date, time and location (if applicable)
- A brief description of your announcement or event
- Any additional details readers should know
Forward Janesville reserves the right to edit submissions for length, clarity, style and consistency.
When in doubt, send it! If you're unsure whether your content is a good fit for Member Connect, we'd be happy to review it with you before publication.
Forward Motion
Forward Motion is Forward Janesville's weekly email highlighting the organization's work across our five Growth Wheel pillars: Member Services, Economic Development, Workforce Development, Government Relations and Community Partnerships.
Content for Forward Motion is curated by the Forward Janesville staff. Members are welcome to suggest story ideas, initiatives or resources that may benefit the broader business community, though submission does not guarantee inclusion.
Weekly Meetings In A Minute
Delivered every Monday morning, Weekly Meetings in a Minute provides a concise preview of important agenda items scheduled for upcoming meetings of the Janesville City Council, Rock County Board and School District of Janesville Board of Education.
